Day 6 - Houston to SLC - January 16, 2017
Time to head home.
One last goodbye with our favorite animal friends.
This was a nice gesture. We don't usually get too angry about babies on our flights. We've been there. Except Alison. She gets mad at noisy babies.
Ice cream on our layover in Denver.
Now onto blogging about our next trip.

Houston Trip - Day 5
Day 6 - George H. W. Bush Library at Texas A&M - January 16, 2017
Another low-key day.
Starting the morning with some game time on their kindles.
Lunch at Star Pizza, a halfway decent pizza buffet. Ada loaded up on the salad.
All of us (except Ada) made our way to the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station. Alison and I have been to a few other Presidential Museums and we really enjoy them (Truman, JFK & LBJ).
Selfie with old 41 himself.
That night Hyrum had to fly out on some international adventure and we all went to eat dinner at my favorite Tex-Mex place in Houston, El Tiempo Cantina. I think it's about time I made my way back...

Houston Trip - Day 4
Day 4 - Sunday in Houston - January 15, 2017
Today was a relaxing Sunday. We went to church. Poor Hyrum is the bishop, so he was stuck at church far longer than the rest of us.
We went for a walk through the Houston Heights. We love looking at the beautiful homes in this area.
And, Sunday dinner.
Lovely.

Houston Trip - New Orleans
Day 3 - New Orleans and the Swamp - January 14, 2017
Yep, I'm a bit behind. But yet I continue.
Once we were ready we checked out of our hotel and made our way back downtown. We swung through the 9th ward that had been damaged from Hurricane Katrina way back in 2005. There were still a lot of vacant lots and areas where nothing had been rebuilt.
We visited Lafayette Cemetery. It was beautiful with the magnolia trees and above ground graves and crypts.
A few mug shots.
Next stop on our journey back to Houston was a swamp tour at Lake Martin.
It was really cool. We jumped on a boat with about 15 of our new closest friends and motored around the lake. We saw lots of crocodiles, turtles, birds and spooky swampy areas.
We stopped for dinner in Lafayette at a creperie. No complaints from the girls on this meal.
No drive in Texas would be complete without a stop at Buc-ee's. This place was huge. More than 100 fuel pumps.
We finally arrived back in Houston after 11. Sleepyheads.
