Outer Banks - Day 12

Day 12 - June 15, 2016

We woke up in DC and finished the day in Baltimore.

We started our day at the Smithsonian National Gallery of Art.  I don't remember the names of all of the paintings and sculptures that we saw, but here is a smattering of our favorites.

The first gallery had sculptures.

The Thinker by Rodin.

Edgar Degas Little Dancer.

With two additional little dancers.

Monet's Jerusalem Artichoke Flowers

The Capitoline Wolf Suckling Romulus and Remus

A fancy fountain.

Leonardo da Vinci's Ginevra de' Benci.

A sculpture with little people.

I'm a huge fan of Vermeer. The Girl with the Red Hat.

Vincent Van Gogh - Self Portrait.

Yet another self portrait by Van Gogh.

Vincent Van Gogh - The Olive Orchard

Claude Monet - The Japanese Footbridge

They had a few from Monet's Houses of Parliament series.  I just love Monet.

After reaching our limit at the art museum we grabbed our car and made our way to Baltimore.  We were in luck that the Orioles were in town.

Cute girls.

Camden Yards was Major League Ballpark #21 for me. For Lyla, it was #5 (I think)...

Tomorrow: we spend the morning in Baltimore before flying home.
