Big, Beautiful 'O'

I voted for Barack Obama for one reason only. Watch the video (and pay attention at about the 90 second mark).

I showed up at our polls (about 2.5 miles from our house) at 6:45 AM. There were already around 40 people in line and when the polls opened at 7:00 AM, only 4 voting machines were working (out of 12). Shouldn't these sort of problems been figured out last night, yesterday or last week? Arrggh. By the time I got to the front of the line, there were 6 machines working. By 7:30 I was out of there - quicker than I expected.

Ok, well, I guess I agree with Obama on the sports issue ;) I sure hope the government doesn't get involved with sports though any more than they already have - hearings on doping in baseball! I mean, come on, aren't there better ways to spend our taxes? I am glad to hear the polls weren't too bad. I am going to head out soon and I hope to avoid the lines!

I was in the Obama camp until he select Biden. After several weeks I was ready to vote for him again, but then the redistribution of wealth issue came up. In the end I voted 3rd party. Some say that is a wasted vote, but I feel good about my decision.

You can still watch Obama's massive party in Grant Park tonight from your balcony though. Maybe even join in wearing your Mitt Romney t-shirt?

Yes, we have a great view the party. The police helicopters have been circling all day. We will definitely go down there later tonight.

I heard Obama will be handing out checks to help pay for rent and gas.

Oh, Tyler, you make me laugh!!!

BUT, I agree - we need play-offs in college football. I just think it's funny you pointed that out in the video.

I say Obama makes that a "first 100 days" issue - death to the BCS (Beaurocratic Control System). Oh, and in the "swing state" of Ohio, waits are around 3-5 hours long...so consider your 45 minutes as lucky.

A vote for Obama is a vote for the death of the BCS. I like that political stance. Do you think the Democrats will keep this as a party platform for future elections? I wonder how this affected the turnout in the swing-state/BCS states? ;)
