All Grown Up

The first night in our new house was Saturday night. We had bought Ada a big girl bed from Ikea earlier that day and decided to put it together instead of the crib. It was kind of spur of the moment planning, because we hadn't talked to Ada at all about sleeping in a big girl bed. We figured that a new house and new bedroom were good times to also introduce a new bed. Ada slept great, she didn't get out of bed once and she just looks so cute all tucked into her new bed. When Alison went to get her up Sunday morning she was just sitting in bed talking to herself waiting for mommy. Just like she would have done if she was in the crib. I don't think she realizes that she could get out of bed. Aren't we lucky?
When I went into check on her before going to bed this is how she was sleeping. I heard somebody say once that they're still babies until they stop sleeping with their butts up in the air.
Hopefully, Ada will go down for naps in her new bed as easy as she's gone down to bed the last two days.

Glad to see you are getting all settled in. Hopefully Ada keeps like for a long time to come but I would bet within the next week she will be out of bed. Hopefully she just plays in her room though...

She is so cute! When we got Adia's toddler bed we used to pretty much lock her in her room until she fell asleep and then about an hour after that we'd go in and find her asleep under the bed, right up against the door, or other random places in her room. It took several weeks before she actually fell asleep and stayed asleep in the bed. Now she has a regular twin bed and she tells us it is her big girl bed.

She is the cutest girl! I love her new bed! She seems to love Elmo as much as Hailey does! Can't wait to see your new baby! Hope she comes soon!

She is such a cute girl. She is very smart, but for your sakes, I hope it takes awhile for her to realize she can get out of bed on her own!
