South Africa - Day 4

Day 4 - Cairo to Johannesburg to Cape Town - October 15, 2017

After days of travel, we finally made i to our destination!

We landed in Johannesburg early in the morning, then we had to wait for one last flight to Cape Town.

It's always a relief when your luggage shows up. We made our way to our condo, right near the Victoria and Alfred waterfront.  The city was under extreme drought so the pools were empty and there were signs all over the hotel about conserving water.  The city was charging big fees to any residences or businesses that used more than their allotment of water.

We visited a Mugg & Bean at the V&A waterfront for dinner.  We were happy to find a decent place to eat, little did we know that this place would become a staple for us on this trip.

Hot chocolate.

The view of Table Mountain from the waterfront.

We made sure to be back to our hotel by dark every night. We felt safe throughout our time in South Africa, but this was one extra precaution that we took.

Tomorrow we look for penguins and visit the Cape of Good Hope!
