Day 1 - SLC-LAX - August 25, 2017
We weren't planning on taking any other trips than what we had previously scheduled, but in June we came across flights to Vietnam & Thailand for around $600 pp, so we threw caution to the wind and went for it.
4:00 AM wakeup call is never easy.
A quick snooze after parking at the airport.
We ended up with a long layover in LA. We grabbed an uber to Manhattan Beach for breakfast at Uncle Bill's Pancake House, then went to hangout on the beach.
Alison was still fixing the other girls' hair on the pier so it was just Lyla and me on the beach when a nice couple came up and randomly offered to take our photo.

Our 2nd flight was on Air China and took us from LAX to PEK (Los Angeles to Beijing).
The food wasn't our favorite, but the entertainment was still decent.
