Amsterdam - Day 5

Day 5 - Monschau, Germany to Ghent, Belgium via Luxembourg - April 2, 2018

Today was a driving day, but luckily for us many things in Europe are fairly close together.

Good morning!

This was the view from one of our windows.

Here we are in front of our hotel ready to search out some food.

I just love this town.  You can see the remains of the medieval castle on the hill.

These bunnies on the trees were a pretty common Easter decoration.

We found some pastries from the bakery off the town square.

Action shot.

Chow down with Al.

We went out to explore the town one last time.  Kate found a friend.

Lots of chalked doors (see more about this tradition here).

We returned to our hotel.  Made one last check of instagram and email before we packed up and headed out.

Our first stop was at a shopping center in Luxembourg for some lunch.  Ada and Lyla went for the foot long.

Kate went for the beef patty.

Enjoying the amazing rides.

We got ambushed by the Easter Bunny. It was amazing.

Really amazing..., but we don't know if this bunny was a boy bunny or girl bunny.

Our next stop was Brussels, Belgium.

We found Manneken Pis.

After finding the boy peeing, we found Het Zinneke (the mutt).

Next we explored the main square in Brussels.

We took lots of photos in the main square...

The new guards.

Of course we got Belgian waffles in Brussels.

Back to the main square.  We had to find one more urinating creature.

Jeanneke-Pis.

Our final leg of the day's journey took us to Ghent.

Tomorrow we explore Ghent and start heading back to Amsterdam!
